DISHERY

Features

What Dishery can do

One shelf for recipes from notebooks, books, websites and messages. Below is only what the app already does today.

A photo becomes a recipe

A photo of a page, a screenshot, a PDF, or just text and a link. Several recipes in one photo or PDF — you tick the ones to keep. From a link, the first recipe on the page is read.

Send recipes to Dishery

On iPhone, Dishery appears in the Share sheet twice: as an icon at the top and as a row below. On Android — the “Scan recipe” row.

Nothing else to tap

The app doesn’t open: the recipe is read on its own and lands first in the list under the shelf; on iPhone, you get a notification when it’s ready.

A collection becomes a book

“All recipes” is already on the shelf. Start your own books — breakfasts, guests, kids — and arrange them however you like.

A recipe or a collection — as one file

From a recipe card, a collection or your Profile — a PDF. It can be read and printed anywhere, and Dishery loads it already sorted out, without reading it again: send it to Dishery via Share or add it as a file. A single recipe can also be sent as text in a messenger.

Original photos don’t go into the file — the recipient gets the recipes without them.

The original at hand

The photo a recipe was read from in the add sheet opens from its card. It is kept only on your device and is not synced. Don’t need it — delete it.

  • Manually

The “Manually” tile in the add sheet opens an empty recipe: title, ingredients, steps.

  • Search the shelf

By dish name, ingredient or #hashtag.

  • By voice

Dictate a recipe — your phone or browser turns speech into text.

  • Translation on iPhone

With a tap, on the phone itself, from iOS 18. The author’s words stay alongside. No translation in the browser or on Android.

  • Four color schemes

Paper, Chalkboard, Notebook and Evening; Chalkboard is dark. And wallpapers: stripe, grid, sprig, doodle.
